Day {7} The Gift of Chocolate

"Once upon a time, there was a quiet little village in the French countryside, whose people believed in Tranquilité - Tranquility...

The scenery and styling for the movie Chocolat was absolutely breathtaking! It was filmed in the beautiful french town of Beynac-et-Cazenac. This very sensual movie is a classic for the lover of all things French. You could easily build a wardrobe around the clothes worn by the chic Vivanne or design a french kitchen with Chocolaterie Maya at the center of your inspiration board.

Can you see it? ~ a soft and elegant french blue from Farrow and Ball, mosaic tile from Ann Sacks, Carrera marble, copper Pots and reclaimed French bistro Antiques, an incredible French Lantern {of course} and sublime old French shutters in blue!

Here are just a few stills from the movie followed by some of my favorite chocolate gift ideas.

The movie Chocolat is inspiring my Christmas gift giving. Here are a few of my favorite gifts for your Chocolate loving family and friends.

Why not give the movie in combination with a chocolate gift tied up with a recipe card?

We discovered Aspen Brownie Works during our ski vacation last year. It is located in the charming smaller village of Aspen Highlands. These brownies are truly exceptional and come in 6 delicious flavors: Chocolate Chip, Espresso Dark Chocolate, Peanut Butter, Raspberry, Toffee and Walnut Caramel.

I love serving individual desserts when I entertain and have a fabulous recipe for individual chocolate molten cakes. The best part about the recipe is that before you pour in the batter to bake, you put a few dried cherries in the bottom. It is a delightful surprise!
